Who Are We?

We are a Peruvian organization with more than 10 years providing social assistance to vulnerable populations in Peru.

Ssonqos' full name is Sumaq Sonqo – Qori Sonqo, it comes from the Quechua word meaning good heart – heart of gold. With this, we want to show that love is the driving force for all the good and positive actions that we can give to others.

Our Beginnings

Ssonqos was born out of the motivation of a family that always brought social aid to the Children's Community “La Sagrada Familia” in Ventanilla. This family motivated their friends to participate and visit the shelter, so that they could see the reality that the boys and girls live. This experience, without a doubt, touched many hearts, and thus, little by little, the friendships were added, the group was growing and the spirit to continue helping as well. This is how the formalization of the group began.
